Quercetin (Quercefit® Phytosome)

High-absorption quercetin to support cellular renewal and antioxidant defenses

High-absorption quercetin (Phytosome®) used in RESET’s monthly pulse to support senescent-cell clearance, cellular renewal, antioxidant defenses, and balanced inflammatory signaling.

What is Quercefit® Quercetin?

Quercetin is a plant flavonoid found in foods such as apples, onions, and berries. Beyond its antioxidant activity, it is studied for its role in supporting the body’s handling of aged, dysfunctional (“senescent”) cells, as well as for maintaining balanced inflammatory and oxidative signaling.

Quercefit® is quercetin delivered using Indena’s Phytosome® technology, which binds quercetin to sunflower lecithin to significantly improve absorption. In human pharmacokinetic studies, quercetin delivered as a phytosome achieved substantially higher plasma exposure than unformulated quercetin, meaning more active compound reaches the bloodstream and tissues. This enhanced bioavailability is why Quercefit® is used in RESET, where meaningful exposure is required during a short, focused protocol.

How Quercetin supports cellular processes

Quercetin is studied for its ability to support cellular resilience by helping manage oxidative stress, modulate inflammatory signaling, and influence pathways involved in cellular aging. It is also widely researched as part of senescence-focused protocols, where it has been investigated for supporting the clearance or reduced impact of senescent cells when used intermittently.

A key limitation of conventional quercetin has always been absorption. Quercefit® addresses this by binding quercetin to phospholipids, improving stability, uptake, and circulation time. Human absorption studies show higher blood levels over time and a higher peak concentration at the same dose compared with standard quercetin, allowing meaningful systemic exposure without excessive capsule counts.

Pathways and outcomes studied

  • Cellular senescence pathways: studied for use in intermittent, senescence-focused protocols

  • Antioxidant defenses: supports protection against oxidative stress

  • Inflammatory signaling: supports balanced immune and inflammatory responses

  • Cellular communication: supports signaling processes involved in healthy aging

  • Neuro and cardio-metabolic pathways: studied in relation to oxidative and inflammatory balance

Why it’s in RESET (and how it pairs)

RESET is designed as a short, monthly pulse to support aging-related cellular processes that accumulate over time. Quercetin is included for its role in antioxidant defense, inflammatory balance, and its use in senescence-focused protocols. Its effectiveness, however, depends heavily on absorption, which is why RESET uses Quercefit® Phytosome for reliable systemic exposure at practical doses.

In RESET, quercetin is paired with fisetin and luteolin to broaden pathway coverage. Fisetin is studied for complementary senescence-related mechanisms, while luteolin is studied for its role in neuro-inflammatory and cellular signaling pathways. Together, the combination supports multiple aging-related processes within a simple two-day monthly cadence, without relying on high single-ingredient dosing.

Learn more about RESET

Dosage context

What RESET provides
500 mg Quercefit® (Quercetin Phytosome®) per protocol day, used in a short two-day pulse taken with food.

What research commonly uses
Daily supplementation is often in the 250–500 mg range. Senescence-focused human protocols typically use higher total intakes, around 1,000–1,250 mg per day for two to three consecutive days, often alongside another agent.

How this fits
Quercefit®’s enhanced absorption supports meaningful circulating levels at a lower milligram dose, making it well suited to RESET’s short, intermittent protocol.

Research snapshot

People-tested absorption
In human pharmacokinetic studies, quercetin delivered as a phytosome reached higher overall blood exposure and higher peak plasma levels than unformulated quercetin at the same dose.

Human outcome markers
Human studies of quercetin report effects on antioxidant status and inflammatory markers, supporting its role in cellular defense and signaling balance.

What this means for you
Quercefit® is designed to deliver more usable quercetin during RESET’s brief intervention window, without requiring large doses or prolonged daily use.

FAQ

1) Daily antioxidant use or monthly pulse — how are they different?

Daily quercetin is commonly used to support ongoing antioxidant defenses. RESET is designed differently, as a short, higher-impact monthly pulse that supports the body’s natural handling of aged, dysfunctional cells. Most people use RESET for two days per month and keep everyday habits like sleep, nutrition, and movement consistent between pulses.

2) Why use Quercefit® instead of regular quercetin?

Standard quercetin has limited absorption. Quercefit® uses Phytosome® delivery, which binds quercetin to phospholipids to improve uptake and circulation. Human absorption studies show higher blood levels compared with unformulated quercetin at the same dose, making it better suited for RESET’s short, targeted protocol.

3) What role does quercetin play in cellular senescence research?

Quercetin is widely studied in the context of cellular senescence, where it has been investigated for its ability to support pathways involved in the handling of aged, dysfunctional cells when used intermittently. This research focus is one reason quercetin appears in pulse-based protocols rather than as a continuous daily supplement.

4) Can I combine RESET with other quercetin supplements?

If you already take a quercetin product daily, avoid “doubling up” during the RESET pulse without checking with your clinician. RESET is designed as an intermittent protocol, not an add-on to daily high-dose quercetin use.

5) Why is quercetin combined with fisetin and luteolin in RESET?

Quercetin is paired with fisetin and luteolin to broaden coverage across multiple aging-related pathways. Fisetin is studied for complementary senescence-related mechanisms, while luteolin is studied for its role in neuro-inflammatory and cellular signaling pathways. Together, the combination supports a more comprehensive, system-level approach within a simple two-day monthly cadence.
